Don't Fall in Love If you Want to Die in Peace

So... Comet Gain! I can't believe I forgot about them for, oh about the last 10 years. It is times like these when I refind something I have squirreled away that I am secretly glad I retain pack-rat qualities. Comet Gain! So, so good. Like what U2 wishes they were, with these iconic lines that actually RING TRUE and are still PUNK.

So I was working on this piece for Future Arts Fest.

It's called "The Way to Win the War is Not Through Force"

That was where it was on Sunday Night.

I read this interview with Dave Hickey, and he said something like, the main part about art is to have fun! If making art is hard work, then you shouldn't be making art, what's the point? I feel like Dave Hickey is either the Buddha or a total jerk. Making artwork is the hardest thing I do.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

A Good Night

Tonight I hung out with my favorite camera shy creature.

We listened to Electrelane, Rat a Tat, and Antony.
I contemplated past work

Current work

And future bittersweet goodbye presents.

Worked on some music,

Picked up some precious cargo arriving from Maui...

And cried, cried, cried.
