Collaborating is hard, but rewarding when you are in the zone, and let go of your expectations. Olivia, my art partner, is very very talented and wise and I am lucky.
In other news, I am not playing shows for many months (except for my drumming stint in SGs). Thank you asshole sound guy at the show last night who completely insulted my band's gear and our set up and proceeded to condescend to us repeatedly. Thanks shitty crowd who spoke louder than I played. How ridiculous to just want to be treated like a human being, a daunting request, I know...instead of being treated like WOMEN.(don't worry, i've had tons of shows that were worse, remember the time some dude started talking to us during our set and telling us how to change our sound as we played, or when the crazy guy at valentines asked me if i knew how to play war pigs while we were playing or or..oh forget it. This is just the straw that broke the proverbial back.)
Everything's fine, just gotta take a break sometimes.
