i have recently begun to play the drums. i started getting lessons from sts in march and now am in a band with my best friends in Portland called Sarah D & the SGS. we make our large stage debut next wednesday, June 13th, at Berbatis. If you are in PDX, come see me rock the cowbell.

look at this amazing photo of a starfish regenerating from only ONE limb!!!
will i regenerate to a lesser extent after 8 days of no coffee, dairy, sugar, oil, wheat, processed foods, caffiene, or non-organic content? It is day four and while my -almost- overwhelming cravings for coffee have not subsided, my body/spirit is surprising well.

here's a drawing i did for the femmes coloring book (full disclosure, i do not identify as a femme, more like a butch in women's clothing). anyhoo it is our fav, Lily Tomlin in 9-5. Let's just say, I can relate. In other news: I just submitted a grant, so am excited and nervous. I am also starting a cleanse tomorrow, wish me luck. Also found out today that my band is playing the Time Based Art Festival opening for BARR. Woo hoo!
