Becca Albee and Kathleen Hannah sent out a call to women for pictures of things we carry with us to make us feel safe. I sent them the photograph of my pink special stone that Irene gave me. It represents love, warmth, and the greater presence of the universe and the spirit in my life. I carry it in my little pouch wallet that Ransom gave me and actually get more freaked out about the thought of losing the stone then any money/cards. The bottom photo is the art piece that Hannah + Albee made together: an amalgamation/interpretation of images women sent them. If you are in New York, it the exhibit is up for a couple more weeks at the Chelsea Museum. What makes you feel safe?
