Turning thirty was the best turning I have ever had. Once you turn thirty you shed your outgrown twenties and enter the club of people in their thirties and find you are in really amazing company. For me the last day of being 29 was way, way worse than the first day of being thirty. The year I was thirty I found myself saying "I'm thirty" to someone almost every single day. Thirty helped me claim more of a sense of authority in my work and my life and over myself.

All of which is to say, happy birthday and welcome and enjoy!

Chelsey! this is an awesome thing to hear. Turning thirty ended up being great. The problem was dealing with the mountain of things I had not accomplished up to this point and reconciling with all the uncomfortable emotions and expectations of what I had, at an earlier time, thought this "should" look like. But coming to grips with these things is a very adult thing to do, which is the best part of turning thirty! Thank you for the kind words, I'm so excited to be in this club now. Can't wait to read your book.
